PCI was awarded a second project with the city of La Mesa, The University Avenue at Harbinson Avenue Improvement project (Bid #14-11)

Consists of new traffic signal, drainage, pedestrian ramps, curb and gutter, striping, bio-retention and new  “City of La Mesa” monument sign. Contract award amount for this project is $461,929.00

PCI has been awarded a contract with the Unified Port District of San Diego for the Point Loma Pavement Maintenance Project (Bid #2013-23)

Major maintenance project to repair existing pavement at portions of Canon Street and Anchorage Lane in Point Loma. Project entails removal and disposal of existing AC and PCC pavement and base, Installation of new permeable pavers including sub drain and construction of 6” deepened curb and gutter, striping and pavement markings. Contract amount for this project is $452,702.30

PCI has been awarded a contract with the City of National City for the Highland Avenue Safety Enhancement project (CIP #13-07)

Work will be completed along Highland Avenue from East 8th Street to Division Street to include additional pedestrian ramps, lighting and medians to aid in effective traffic flow and safety. Contract amount is $1,379,220.00

PCI-Portillo Concrete Inc has been awarded 3 separate contracts with the City of San Diego for the installation of sewer and water improvements throughout the city

Sewer Group 808 bid #K141110DBB-3  will be constructed in the community of Rancho Bernardo, Lytton St 6″ Sewer bid#K141099DBB-3 and Water Group 937 bid #K14111DBB-3 will be constructed in the community of Point Loma.  All three projects will include the removal and replacement of aging water and sewer lines, as well as making major surface improvements including concrete curb and gutter, sidewalk, handicap ramps, asphalt paving, landscaping, traffic signals, and striping.  The total of all three contract awards is $3,357,472.20

PCI-Portillo Concrete Inc has been awarded contract #4012, bid #PWS14-17TRAN with the City of Carlsbad for the Construction of Coastal Rail Trail – Reach 1

The work will include the improvement of South Coast Highway (Carlsbad Blvd) between Eaton St and State St.  The improvement consists of major road rehabilitation of approximately 1,500 lf of road and all related work.  The major elements of the road rehabilitation are installation of underground utilities, concrete curb and gutter, sidewalk, handicap ramps, asphalt paving, landscaping, traffic signal, clearing and grubbing, erosion control, and striping.  The contract contained an 12.5% DBE goal which was met by PCI who will be completing 78% of the work.  The total contract award is for $996,435.25.

PCI-Portillo Concrete Inc has been awarded contract #STL-365 with the City of Chula Vista

PCI-Portillo Concrete Inc has been awarded contract #STL-365 with the City of Chula Vista for the  Construction of Gunpowder Point Drive. The work will include the installation of 1,500 lf of 4″ water line and all related work to serve the Living Coast Discovery Center as well as the United States Department of the Interior, Fish and Wildlife Service division offices.  The work will also consist of grinding and rehabilitation of the existing service road within a federally protected wildlife refuge. The total contract award is for $296,893.00.

PCI-Portillo Concrete Inc has been awarded an (8a) task order N62473-10-G-5461-0012 on a previously awarded BOA contract, to resurface the BUDS Camp road and Grinder area on San Clemente Island, CA with the Department of the Navy, NAVFAC Southwest. The work will include but not be limited to cleaning and repairing existing cracks, installation of type II slurry, and cold in place recycling of Al Huey road.  The work also includes site work incidental to paving, including but not limited to clearing and grubbing, excavation and earthwork, wheel stops, striping, some demolition, disposal, as well as other incidental repairs and repair of any damages to the site caused by the related work.  The total contract value was $588,537.00.

PCI-Portillo Concrete Inc has been awarded an (8a) sole source contract N62473-13-D-0611, Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Basic Contract for Paving Aboard Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton, CA with the Department of the Navy, NAVFAC Southwest. The work will include but not be limited to cleaning and repairing existing cracks, asphalt overlays, slurry seal, installation of new asphalt, new aggregate base, cold milling of existing paving and emergency repair work.  The work also includes site work incidental to paving, including but not limited to clearing and grubbing, excavation and earthwork, storm drainage systems, sidewalks, curbs and gutters, wheel stops, reflective markers, striping, signing and some demolition, disposal, as well as other incidental repairs and repair of any damages to the site caused by the related work.  The various paving projects will be  performed at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton and the Naval Weapons Station, Fallbrook Detachment.  The contract Award is for a period of one (1) calendar year. Task orders will range from $2,000 to $2,000,000 with a total contract value not to exceed $3,999,418.00.

PCI-Portillo Concrete Inc has been awarded an (8a) sole source contract F13PC00311, Construct Bayside Birding and Walking Trail at Tijuana Slough National Wildlife Refuge, Imperial Beach, CA. with the United States Department of the Interior, Fish and Wildlife Service. The work will include site clearing and grubbing with mass grading within the wildlife refuge.  A 1,500 LF disintegrated granite path will be installed as well as a 50′ foot span prefabricated aluminum bridge.  An observation deck will also be constructed at the tenth street opening for wildlife observation.  The total contract award is for $359,320.00.

PCI-Portillo Concrete Inc received the Small Business Contract Award

PCI-Portillo Concrete Inc received the Small Business Contract Award W912LA-13-D-0016, Construction Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) Southern California with the Department of the Army, National Guard Bureau. The construction MATOC will provide maintenance, repair, construction and design-build services in support of the National Guard activities in Southern California including Imperial, Kern, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, Santa Barbara and Ventura counties. The contract Award is for a base period of two (2) calendar years, and 3 one-year option periods. Total contract period, to include options, shall not exceed five (5) calendar years. Task orders will range from $200 to $5,000,000 with a total contract value not to exceed $20,000,000.
