PCI has been awarded a contract with the City of San Diego titled El Cajon Blvd Pedestrian Improvement Project (Bid # K-17-6785-DBB-3)

This project will repair and install sidewalk within the Crossroads community boundaries of the City of San Diego.  The project ranges from 54th Street to 73rd Street on El Cajon Blvd. The contract award amount for this project is $496,355.00.

PCI has been awarded (3) task orders under a previously awarded Multiple Award Construction Contract with NAVFAC Southwest Region (N62473-16-D-1853)

-The first task order is to Repair Roads and Replace Storm Water Catch Basins at Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD) San Diego.  The task order award amount is $1,137,000.00
-The second task order is the Repair Stage Coach Road to Wilcox Range 33 Area at Marine Corps Base (MCB) Camp Pendleton.  The task order award amount is $2,721,000.00
-The third task order is to Replace Concrete Hardstand – Phase IV, Yermo Annex, Marine Corps Logistic Base Barstow, California.  The task order award amount is $1,185,000.00

PCI has been awarded a federal contract with NAVFAC Southwest Region (N62473-16-D-4015)

This IDIQ Paving JOC contract will be completed at various locations under the cognizance of Naval Base San Diego and Naval Medical Center San Diego. -The Scope of work for this project includes all labor materials, tools, transportation equipment, management, and supervision necessary for the repair and replacement of government owned roads, parking lots, and structures. Some projects also consist of surface repairs, facility repair, street rehabilitation, cleaning, and alterations throughout the San Diego Naval Base (NBSD) and Naval Medical Center (NMCSD). The contract award amount is $4,000,000.00

PCI has been awarded a contract with the City of San Diego for the City Heights Pedestrian Improvements Project (Bid # K-17-6693-DBB-3)

The scope of this project is to remove and replace and install new sidewalks, curbs and gutters, pedestrian ramps, and install new streetlights with services and street pavement in construction areas. The contract award amount for this project is $2,480,243.00

PCI has been awarded a contract with the City of San Diego titled AC Water & Sewer Group Job 1014 Project (Bid # K-15-1449-DBB-3)

The AC Water and Sewer Group Job consist of the removal and replacement of 14,193 lineal feet of old water mains, fire hydrants and water services throughout city heights. Along with water mains, this project includes repairing 421 lineal feet of old existing sewer mains. All improvements require excavation, trench shoring, removal and disposal of trees, and railroad tracks during construction. Additionally, sidewalk, curb and gutter, pedestrian ramps, and cross gutter will be replaced. Final rehabilitation and repair of roadways is achieved by cold milling, placement of compacted class II base, asphalt overlay, and traffic striping. Also over 3,000 cubic yards of concrete alleys will be replaced as a result of this work. The contract award amount for this project is $4,718,773.00.

PCI has been awarded a federal contract with NAVFAC Southwest Region (N62473-16-D-1853)

NAVFAC Southwest is a multiple award contract for various locations within California, Arizona Nevada, Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico. Portillo Concrete, Inc. was one of five highly qualified small businesses awarded this contract. As stated by Carol Davis, a NAVFAC Southwest Project manager, “these businesses will provide NAVFAC Southwest with a pool of excellent contractors to accomplish the work.” The work provides for new construction, repair, and renovation of paving construction projects. Types of projects may include repair of deteriorated asphalt and Portland-cement concrete pavement, cold milling of existing asphalt pavement, asphalt overlays, construction of new asphalt, and pavement marking. This contract was competitively procured via the Navy Electronic Commerce Online website with 15 proposals received. NAVFAC Southwest is the contracting activity, and the term of the contract is to be completed by spring 2021. The contract award amount ranges between $100,000.00 to $5,000,000.00 and a minimum guarantee of $5,000.00, while totaling $99,000,000

Portillo Concrete Inc. has been awarded a contract with the City of San Diego for the Streamview Drive Project (Bid # K-15-1226-DBB-3)

The purpose of the Streamview Drive project is to create a safer environment for pedestrians by slowing down traffic. This was achieved by adding two roundabouts and a raised median totaling 34,000 square feet to mitigate speeding. This project also contains 32,000 square feet of sidewalk, residential driveways, the addition of street lights, bus stop pads, ADA compliant pedestrian ramps, and parking stalls. To finalize the job, street rehabilitations, which involves 8,000 tons of asphalt paving, traffic striping, roadside signs, and crosswalk signs were all included to ensure safety throughout Streamview Drive. The contract award amount for this project is $2,688,557.20

PCI – Portillo Concrete Inc. was awarded a contract with the City of San Diego for the Concrete Street Panel Replacement Group 2, (Bid #K-14-6099-DBB-3-C)

Scope of work includes the replacement of 60,000 SF of concrete street panels.  ADA curb ramps will also be installed or upgraded along the project alignment in various locations throughout the City of San Diego. Contract award amount for this project is $3,428,300.00

PCI was awarded with the City of La Mesa for the (5)year Annual Concrete Maintenance project (Bid #14-14)

Including sidewalks, curb ramps, curbs and gutters, driveway aprons and cross gutters at various locations throughout La Mesa. Contract award amount for this project is $149,325.00
